Lithium Battery Separator Coating Equipment Features


  1. High-Grade Alloy Steel Wall Panels
    The equipment uses high-grade alloy steel for the wall panels, offering excellent stability, corrosion resistance, and durability.

  2. Passive Guide Rollers
    The guide rollers, with diameters of φ70mm and φ100mm, are made of high-quality aluminum alloy, anodized to HV700 with a mirror finish. Balance precision is <5 grams, dynamic balance <2.5 grams, and levelness <0.03mm/m. Designed with low inertia for optimal performance.

  3. Tension Control System
    Equipped with a closed-loop tension control system from Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan), ensuring stable and reliable tension management during operation.

  4. Unwinding and Rewinding Units
    The unwinding and rewinding units feature a shaftless cone-top automatic opening and closing structure, allowing quick and efficient material loading and unloading. The rewinding unit incorporates a follower contact roller to maintain consistent and stable tension during the rewinding process.

  5. Coating Unit
    The coating unit adopts a sealed doctor blade chamber with reverse kiss coating technology, ensuring consistent coating stability and controlled coating amounts. This design minimizes solvent evaporation and prevents splashing at high speeds, ensuring operator safety and environmental protection.

  6. Quick-Change Coating Rollers and Doctor Blades
    The coating rollers and doctor blades are designed for quick replacement, reducing downtime and increasing overall production efficiency.

  7. Preheating Oven Unit
    The preheating oven features semi-automatic guide rollers with an S-path design to effectively eliminate internal stress in the material. The oven walls are made of 304 stainless steel, with heating provided by multi-perforated mesh plates for uniform heating, meeting food-grade hygiene standards.

  8. Heating Unit
    The drying oven adopts a multi-zone structure, enabling flexibility in coating amounts, drying zones, and curing processes. The inner walls are made of 304 stainless steel, with V-shaped nozzle openings and multi-perforated designs to maximize drying and curing efficiency. Heat sources are customizable, including electric heating, steam, thermal oil, natural gas, or integration with RTO thermal energy recovery systems.

  9. Cooling and Traction Unit
    The double-roller cooling traction system efficiently reduces the surface temperature of the material after heating, quickly returning it to room temperature. The dual-sided cooling design prevents stress concentration in the material and ensures stable traction, avoiding wrinkles or stretching caused by pressure rollers.

  10. Web Guiding System
    To maintain precise alignment during coating, traction, and rewinding, the equipment is equipped with multiple edge position correction units, ensuring the substrate stays aligned throughout the entire process.

  11. Servo Motor Drive System
    The equipment is powered by a servo motor and controller system, providing smooth acceleration and deceleration without fluctuations, ensuring precise and reliable control during operation.

  12. Closed-Loop Tension Control System
    The closed-loop tension control system, utilizing tension pendulum rollers and pressure sensors, provides precise tension management, ensuring consistent and reliable tension throughout the process.

    Lithium Battery Separator Coating Equipment Work Process

    1.Material Loading
    The raw PP separator film is loaded onto the unwinding unit. This process is facilitated by the shaftless cone-top automatic opening and closing structure, ensuring smooth and efficient material loading.2.
    2.Preheating
    The separator film passes through the preheating oven, where the material is heated using semi-automatic guide rollers and an S-path design. This process eliminates internal stress in the material to prepare it for coating.
    3.Coating
    The film enters the coating unit, where it is coated with a specific material using reverse kiss coating technology. The sealed doctor blade chamber ensures uniform coating with controlled amounts of coating material.
    4.Drying and Curing
    The coated separator film moves to the drying oven. The multi-zone structure allows different drying and curing conditions to be applied depending on the coating type. The heat sources can be customized based on the production requirements (electric, steam, or thermal oil heating).
    5.Cooling
    After drying, the material passes through the double-roller cooling system, which efficiently reduces the temperature to room temperature. This helps prevent stress and ensures stable material traction without wrinkles.
    6.Rewinding
    The cooled film is then rewound onto the shaftless core. The rewinding unit uses a follower contact roller to maintain uniform and stable tension as the material is wound.
    7.Tension Control
    Throughout the entire process, the closed-loop tension control system continuously monitors and adjusts the tension of the material. This ensures smooth operation, with no fluctuations or tension-related issues.
    8.Material Unloading and Final Product
    Once the process is complete, the finished separator film is unloaded from the rewinding unit, and the final product is ready for further processing or shipment.
