The film used for potato chips bags is typically a type of multi-layered packaging known as flexible packaging. Specifically, potato chip bags often use a combination of materials such as:

1. Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP): This material provides strength, stiffness, and excellent printability, making it ideal for the outer layer of the bag.

2. Metallized Polyester (MetPET): Metallized polyester film adds a metallic layer to provide a barrier against moisture, oxygen, and light, helping to maintain the freshness and crispiness of the chips.

3. Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE): LDPE is often used as an inner layer to provide heat sealability, moisture resistance, and protection against grease and oil migration from the chips.

4. Nylon (Polyamide): Some higher-end chip bags may include a layer of nylon to enhance puncture resistance and overall durability.

These materials are combined using lamination or coextrusion processes to create a film that offers the necessary barrier properties, strength, and flexibility required for packaging potato chips while preserving their quality and extending their shelf life.


Extruder
This is the heart of the extrusion line where the raw material, usually polypropylene resin pellets, is melted and homogenized. Extruder Its special extruding screw systems , precise manufacturing data , temperature controls and speed adjusting systems ensure stable good extruding ;
Dies
Dies Excellent Cr-plated heat resistant steel alloy is applied for T-dies , which flowing channels are of clothes-hanger type design , with excellent flow distributing systems , to make sure that flows can go evenly to all the whole dies ; A adjusting system equipped onto up and down die lips , to make sure that all sheets have good thicknesses ;It has a specific profile that determines the thickness and width of the film. The molten polymer is forced through the die head, forming a continuous sheet of film.


Cooling Unit:
After passing through the die head, the hot film needs to be cooled rapidly to solidify it. Cooling units typically use chilled air or water to cool the film to the desired temperature. 

Haul-Off Unit: 
Once the film is cooled and solidified, it needs to be wound onto a roll. The take-up unit consists of rollers that guide the film as it is wound onto a core to form a roll of finished film.

Thickness Gauge:
This is an optional component that measures the thickness of the film as it is being extruded. It provides feedback to the extrusion line control system, allowing for adjustments to be made to maintain consistent film thickness.

Corona Treater:
CPP film often requires surface treatment to improve adhesion for printing or coating processes. A corona treater applies a high-voltage electrical discharge to the surface of the film, which creates reactive species that enhance surface energy and promote adhesion.

Slitting Unit:
In some cases, the finished film may need to be slit into narrower widths. A slitting unit consists of blades or knives that cut the wide roll of film into multiple narrower rolls.

Winding Unit:
This unit winds the finished film onto cores or reels in a controlled manner. It ensures that the film is wound evenly and tightly to prevent wrinkles or damage.

Control System:
The entire extrusion line is typically controlled by a centralized control system. This system monitors and adjusts various parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and thickness to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
